'Twas a wonderful, relaxed, Thanksgiving Vacation Week ...

Middle Dude turned 11, and in honor of that, the Kellers went bowling. Middle Dude discovered that he's read more books (stacked) than he is tall ...

(all this from the boy I despaired would ever pick up a book of his own accord, just to read for pleasure)

Eldest Dude, the Teen, turned 14 and celebrated by playing Halo with a couple buddies.

Who says you can't shop on Thanksgiving day? Big Dude went Craigslisting (oh yes, that is a verb!) and instead of coming home with just the Halo Reach game that was his intended purchase, he came home with the seller's whole Xbox kit and kaboodle. oy. Happy Bdays and Early Merry Christmas, Dudes!

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner (No Turkey here; osso buco + sweet potato risotto), followed by a walk on the beach, followed by Pumpkin Pie & Mexican Train dominoes back at Mom & Dad's house.

I created a fun vacation album and caught up to date my regular annual family album. Wanna see some vacay pages?!? I know you do .... ;-)

Keller Travels 2010 album 12in 001 (Sides 1-2)

Keller Travels 2010 album 12in 006 (Sides 11-12)

Keller Travels 2010 album 12in 007 (Sides 13-14)

Keller Travels 2010 album 12in 011 (Sides 21-22)

Keller Travels 2010 album 12in 018 (Sides 35-36)

Littlest Dude got all caught up in Black Friday madness and purchased a Nerf gun as big as himself ...

We introduced the Dudes to Napoleon Dynamite ...

And ... the epitome of cuteness ... at church this weekend, as we were dropping Littlest Dude at his class, he was filling out his name tag and said, "I'm going to add a little excitement ..." and drew an exclamation point at the end of his name. Gosh, I love that kid!

Your albums are a constant inspiration for me! I SO want to be putting them together and getting them printed...and I still haven't done it. I'm just a bit stuck at the "this feels like a giant project" phase. Thanks for sharing your pages!

I'm with Elaine. I sooooo need to put together albums, but I'm just not getting there. Very daunting. But your vacation pages are GORGEOUS!

Looks like you had a fabulous Thanksgiving week. Happy birthday to the Dudes from the Scovel family!

Wonderful! Gorgeous album! Sigh....if only my youngest would pick up a book...I haven't given up on him yet but he just isn't interested.

Oh my. Those vacay pages make me wanna make MYSELF one (ok, my hubby for Christmas!) instead of just my in-laws one again. Did one for them last Christmas and they said, "this is the BEST gift we have ever received." One of the best things I have ever been told. Love love love the pages. Which place do you use?
I do Shutterfly but don't totally love it. Your pages look better.
Thanks for responding. :)

YAY! Finished our vacay book last week. Gotta finish a grandparents one by Wednesday to take advantage of a good deal. But I think we should vacation with you next year, 'cuz GOSH that scenery is SPECTACULAR! You always manage to find the vistas.

Awesome dudes you've got there, Susan!

Your album is just too beautiful for words. I didn't see a photo of all of us that enjoyed the view from the back seat...OK, virtual back seat! Yellowstone is one of my all time favorites, but then again, so is Napoleon Dynamite with all his "skills". I had to look up osso buco...sounds wonderful. I could easily skip the turkey myself. Your photos are inspiring, I bet you could even make drab wintery Wisconsin look good! (-:

Beautiful albums! I just so love a beautiful collage.
And we are Napoleon freaks here in the Morris household. Every other sentence or comeback is some Napoleon one-liner, so much so that my husband has now perfected Napoleon and Kip's voices. He is quite the impersonator.
Oh, and my son has a number of those bigger-than-him Nerf guns. What is it with boys?

Your staycation sounds splendid. I just love your family. Seriously. Every time I come here I want to buy a plane ticket for Kaishon and I to come and move in with you. Not visit. We are MOVING IN : ) cause that is how much fun you are. I don't think we could ever leave you.

The story about the exclamation point is the cutest thing I have ever heard. What a sweetie. You know what that made me think though? It made me think you need another baby because he is growing up so quickly. 7? OH MY GOODNESS!

Oh, and your Thanksgiving dinner sounds scrumptious. Sweet potato risotto. Wow.
