We arrived at this geothermal site after a recent downpour. These geysers were especially spectacular with the Yellowstone Lake backdrop and their [sulphuric stinky] steam rising as if to greet the clouds that were seemingly reaching down. Awe-inspiring sight!!
Oh, and

I was holding my nose as I was looking at these pictures : )
Thank you for being interviewed. Your work is so lovely. Do you want me to replace the 2 grainy images? I made gary look and he said he didn't notice the distortion...but he also doesn't notice my hair when it's dyed, so perhaps he wasn't the best judge.
these are incredible.
I gasped...
but I had cereal in my mouth so it was unpleasant all the way around.
well not unpleasant
on the eyes.
you get it right...
say you get it.
off to read interview
and quit talking to myself.
What a nice interview. I've been loving your photos of your road trips this summer. And now, back to school for you and for me too. My daughter is now dating someone who wants to be a ... photographer!!! He is going to college and taking classes. From what I've seen of his work he appears to be a natural at it :)
So cool to see the earth at work! Can't wait to go there.
Dropping by from Becky's blog. These photos bring me back to my first trip to the geysers...only my memory of them isn't nearly as splendid as your photos!
So awesome!! I loved the interview with Beckt too! You are such an encouragement! And your pics are pretty good too ;)

Hi Susan,
Saw your interview at Rebekah's and wondered why I never came by before! Lovely site.

The photos are beautiful, just how I remember seeing it. Your interview with Beck was excellent too...so glad to see you featured there!
Enjoyed the interview over at Becky's. You are very inspirational as well and I related to so many things you said. I guess my ONE question (though there are so many more) would be how can I get a good start when I can't afford anything more than the Canon PowerShot A520 that was given to me by my brother. I have a 4-month old at home who has really kindled the photography fire in me!
You take gorgeous pictures! I wish you were closer...you would totally be taking ours!
God's blessings to you!
I am one PROUD mom. I'm very THANKFUL that others are able to enjoy your incredible talent as much as your father and I do. Love, Mom and Dad
