It was to this exact spot we returned to watch the roaring waves. And when I spied this spot in the distance, filled with a pool of glassy water, I couldn't get to it fast enough and take the perfect (in my mind, anyway) combo silhouette/reflection portrait of the Dudes.
Alas, the perfectly mirror-smooth water I was expecting was all ripply by the time we were set up ... all because this pretty young thang and her entourage arrived right about the same time we did. sigh. Oh well, at least the Dudes (ok, really just Big Dude) had something entertaining to watch while I did my thing.
Hard to be too disappointed, tho, when there was soooo much wave grandeur to be seen everywhere...
Big Dude took a couple pics, too...

Whoa! You didn't have the fish eye last time though. Nice! Big Dude should have his own camera. (Although if my husband had his own, I wouldn't have him to entertain the kids and give me so much good material. ;-D)
I want to come back! These are so cool. Maybe I could shoot a couple of shots with the fisheye?
Couldn't you enlarge the photos of the model? Just asking.
Hey, is that a fisheye I'm seeing??? I keep writing that on my "I Want" list. Sigh.
what an incredible place!
these waves were hitting like that at Victoria beach....
wow..
and btw.. the sleezy photo shoots are so common there... remind me to tell you about one of my sessions and our encounter one day.. good story.
so wonderful since even in my non-professional photographer"ness" there are almost no photos of me!
