These lovely poppies are encouraged to grow wildly and abundantly on the local university near us. And I have to keep explaining to my youngest Dude that, while it's sweet of him, it is technically against the law to pick these particular wildflowers to give to Mommy.

good news - neither tripod nor macro lens for these. Handheld, baby!! Macro + tripod doesn't work in the wind ;-)

you know, my mom used to tell me the same thing about poppies. It wasn't until I was in my 30's that I realized it was on PUBLIC property! I couldn't figure out ow they could enforce such a law on my own property, but didn't argue it... HA!
