Oh, my. Susan, you are my favorite!!!!
Very cool. Somehow we did not manage to get to the theatre to see "Horton Hears a Who." Might need to put that in my netflix queue. Beautiful...and funky :-)
Cool!! Dr Seuss rocks!!
Happy WW :)

Love Dr Suess, yes I see where he got his inspiration! My favorite is "The Pale Green Pants with Nobody inside them". Actually, I think its called, "What was I afraid of" but the other title is more descriptive.
Dr. Seuss, he's always been a favorite. Gotta give a man that can rhyme and make complicated ideas so simple his props!
Your blog is amazing! I really enjoyed the photography and ofcourse I also like Dr. Seuss!
Happy WW!
Beautiful pictures!

Yes, SoCa has some very unusual plants. It must be the air out there!
Yes, there is a whimsical side to nature! Love your shots! :)
What amazing pictures! Very creative, thanks!

Isn't God a creative designer? :) Dr. Suess isn't bad either, LOL. The photos made me grin!
Thanks for your help on my photoshop actions. My hubby found my layers palette for me. :) I posted the results...
What do yer means by 'Hailed'?
That is a fantastic post! So clever.
Susan,
I stumbled on your post and as a "baby" photographer, I really appreciate all your tips. I had to comment on the great pictures on this post...we recently lived near Joshua Tree National park and the first time we visited, knew this was the home of many a Dr. Seuss character!
Hi, I was sent here by Debbie from This is the Life. I am a pro photographer, too (over 20 years). Love your shots. I will be back regularly to enjoy the view!
I love unique and funky looking nature. You do a great job capturing it too. Thanks for another beautiful look at the ordinary stuff around us. You're an awesome photographer!
Thanks, All :-)
Katolin - you got to live near Joshua Tree?!? My boys would be so envious - they love the abundance of cool rocks there.
Teri - thx for visiting. :-)
In Jason's Middle School Graduation speech, he used the first quote! But that might not have been written by Dr. Seuss - there is some doubt. Anyway, it's a cool quote. Also, some of those photos really do look like his creatures! Very cool!
Katherine -
Kudos to Jason (what a great quote to incorporate in his speech!!). I *almost* added a footnote about the questionable attribution of that first quote, but ended up not... Are you making sure the packers leave your computer out til the very end??? ;-)
