Just one of the beni's of homeschooling...

... on a beautiful day, if you want, you can take your literature discussion to the beach.
Who could resist?

One of the "beni's" of homeschooling...

Literature at the beach

Oh! Look who decided to visit our classroom?
The visiting studentI guess he was enjoying our commentary about some of the overlapping elements and themes of The Ugly Duckling and The Trumpet of the Swan. ;-)

We bid adieu (or should I say "Vale!" ?) to our friend...

Ok, I'm really really jealous! Where do you live?

I don't know how you get any schoolwork done! There is something to be said for living in a land-locked state. We have skiing though, so...

Oh I love that! That is the perfect classroom!

I can't wait until we have warm weather in WA. Even though the sun is shinning right now, it is too cold to do anything like that right now. :o(

Woohoo - party in my comments :-) Thanks, all, for visiting.

Phyllis - we're about 2 miles (as the crow flies) from Laguna Beach, but about a 15 minute drive.

Daisy - "stuck" in the Valley??? Yosemite is practically in your backyard!! I could live with that!! ;-) But yes, get thee to the beach. Arroyo Grande? Pismo? Gorgeous.

We lived in CA for a while -- Palm Desert. Definitely not close enough to the beach, though. Gorgeous photos!

Julie-
Yup, Palm Desert is quite a drive from the beach. But, it's oh-so-close to Joshua Tree. My boys would be thrilled to go there every weekend and climb all over the rocks!!
