Kellers Take on LA for a Day: The Getty Center
LA is full of all kinds of neato stuff. But we Kellers almost never ever go there. Because, traffic. And, crowds. And, parking.
But Nana and Papa came to town, so we donned our tourist hats and decided to brave all that traffic and crowding and lack of parking. First stop on our tourist day: The Getty Center. And first to-do item of the day: garage selfie.
Second to-do item of the day: fire up the GoPro for an epic day of tourism adventuring …
And this is where we discover the GoPro battery is not charged. D’oh.
To state the obvious, The Getty architecture is at least as wondrous as the works of art housed there…
Ummm, this might have something to do with sending a snarky email referencing All About that Bass to The College Student.
Van Gogh is kinda popular.
Little Dude adds his own version of The Scream to Munch’s Starry Night.
Monet. So pretty.
Little Dude’s shoes don’t quite match, and we’re missing Dog Dude stage right…
My favorite of the day: Rembrandt’s laughing selfie …

I Want Some Weather.
SoCal has weird weather. September and October are way more “summer” than June or July. And pretty clouds don’t happen nearly as often as I’d like them to. And rain … well, rain happens rarely. And super rarely the last three years. This one afternoon back in September, we got dramatic weather. The clouds, the dark, the wind, the threat of rain. The rain never came, but the sky put on a good show for an hour or so. Here’s hoping for some weather soon. And by “weather”, I mean clouds with rain.

BEAUTIFUL FAMILY :: Orange County Family Photography
I’m so very blessed to call this family Friend. My life is better for having them in it. Because I adore them so, I stretched my location “rules” for them, and we shot in a parking garage that had absolutely no special meaning to them. Despite the meaningless location – and nevermind there being a chair where no chair should be --, there was dancing, cuddling, laughter, love, music and crazy-making … all of which are very real elements of their everyday lifestyle. You will also see hints of life with their darling foster daughter (tho, for legal purposes of privacy, I will display no identifiable images of her adorable self). Note to my Dear Friend: thank you for once again letting me document the beauty that is your family. And just so you know … I’m drawing the line now: if, next time, you ask me to take portraits on a rock on the beach with your family attired in matching denim & white button down shirts … no matter how much I love you, the answer is NO.
