Galaxy-ography: the August edition
The sun actually came out a couple times. Friends had a darling baby. More backyard bananas. Dinner & awesome music.
Golf lessons. A snake visited our lizards for a couple days. Our sunflowers bloomed. We drove to Joshua Tree to enjoy the Perseid Meteor showers. Middle Dude put together Abe. And I put together a new website.
Big Dude is back in the Ultimate Frisbee arena. Cafe Cubano morning date. Domino frustration. Last summer dates with friends and a quickie trip to the Great Northwest…
Cousins, new puppy, fishing, waterparking, gondola riding, returning home.

Always a Room Prepared …
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many dwelling places;
if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself,
that where I am, there you may be also.
And you know the way where I am going.”
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life;
no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 14:1-6

Sublime Beauty. Laguna Beach. The Cave Version.
Just as the mossy rocks are often underwater, so too the cave is often inaccessible and filled with ocean waves.
But not the night we went.
Arrival at the mouth of the cave: 6:27p. Behold the cute little beach in front …
Rocks are meant to be climbed.
And jumped off …
Seaweed is to be gathered …
Caves practically demand to be explored …
And sometimes photographers demand silhouette setups …

Tidepools beckon …
And the tide comes in all too quickly. Exiting the cave: 6:38p. Cave, you were exquisite for the 11 minutes in which enjoyed your company.
But not the night we went.

Sublime Beauty. Laguna Beach. The Mossy Rocks Version.
Sometimes I really have to pinch myself. I live here. It’s so beautiful. It’s a blessing, for sure. I try daily not to take it for granted.
This is often under water. But, if you time it correctly and come to it at a low-low tide, you find this …
And if you’re really REALLY lucky, low-low tide happens at glowy-light evening time.

The low (slippery) path and the higher (rocky) path …with the cave at the end.
Not so sure-footed. Big Dude is GoPro-ing it all.
Next up: The Cave.
