A different kind of baby...

My Father-in-Law has been painstakingly building this beauty from scratch for the last 5+ years. She'll soon be road-worthy. For our purposes, she was more than up to the short journey between the garage and the lower lot for the requisite photo op and rides for the kiddos. It used to be that all the grandkids fit together on the running board. But over the years, the number of grandkids has grown and the kids themselves have grown quite a bit, so now they quite spill over.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made...

For Thou didst form my inward parts;

I love the family I married into...

And I love that we were able to find el-cheapo plane tickets (Jet Blue rocks!) at the last minute so we could meet our new niece! :-)

Sci-Fi Museum at Seattle Center

... where they had stuff like Stormtroopers and movie posters and books and Farrah Fawcett's silver-sequined dress from Logan's Run and ... oh, who am I kidding? I really didn't pay much attention to anything at the sci-fi museum (not my genre, eh! but the Dudes, of course, were enthralled. Thx, Auntie D!). Then we came to the awesome exhibit of Jim Henson's Fantastic World. Who doesn't love the Muppets?



Especially the Muppets dba Mud Garden, the grunge band (fashioned after Soundgarden?).



After the Sci-fi portion of the museum, we crossed thru the concert stage area and into the Experience Music Project...





Have you met my husband, the rock star? He learned that two-finger trick from Pioneer Woman's son. I kid you not.



Then I asked my Dudes and nephews to act like rock stars. Oh well. At least Littlest Dude humored me. :-}



Shaking some lead out before jumping in the car for the ride over to Spokane.



Next up ... my adorable newest niece. :-)
