Boys at the Beach :: Orange County Family Photography

Today’s riddle:  three families living in three different parts of the nation, three darling sons aged two and under, and three moms all sharing a special bond – by modern medical marvel, these three boys are brothers.  This was the first time these families met, and it was my pleasure to travel to beautiful Monterey Bay to photograph the occasion…

Well that's an intriguing story! That is a whole lot of happy love going on there. You and the beach are quite the partners!

When you shoot at the beach often times it seems as though the days are longer, this is because there typically is not much that is blocking the rays from the sun, so the golden hours actually seem to start earlier and end later so keep this in mind if you prefer to shoot in those magical hours where the light is soft and dreamy. Sunrises and sunsets on the beach can provide some seriously amazing color in your images!

Susan, you did an amazing job of capturing the joy of these mothers and the naturally curious nature of these young boys, and adventurous spirit of the group, as a whole.

Your photography captures such a fine balance between straightforward focus on the subjects vs utilizing the location/settings vs embellishing with photographic filters/ enhancements. It made the session feel comfortable, natural, and exciting.

On a more personal note, thank you so much for your talent. We watch this video over and over and still tear up with joy. I hope there will be more photo sessions in the future.

Signed- a member of Florida brother's family.
