Snow. Snowballs. & a Straw Hat.

Since the road to the Mariposa Sequoia Grove was closed, we tried to find our way to the Belder Grove instead.  We didn’t make it to Belder, but we found plenty of snow to mess around in.  Littlest Dude used his straw hat from the dollar store to protect him from the ravages of snow.  And I used my new umbrella (unfortunately NOT from the dollar store) to save my camera from said “ravages”.  Dog Dude did not seem upset at all to be missing the giant sequoias.  IMG_4741IMG_4747IMG_4770on the way to belderIMG_4763Checking out the road conditions to Belder.  No go.IMG_4773IMG_4780IMG_4782IMG_4783way to belder 2IMG_4807way to belder 3These two yahoos managed to stay out of the line of fire.way to belder 4And Nana stayed out of the line of fire by remaining in the warm car.  SmileIMG_4760way to belder 5IMG_4798

Oh Susan! This is really making me smile! I love the irony of me looking at your snow. In April. I am love your dudes and how much Dog Dude loves snow. I am love your umbrella and how different colors peek out here and there. But you totally saved the best for last.

SO sorry you missed the sequoias though. Boo. Way to make lemonade out of life's lemons.

You make snow look GREAT : )

I am glad you had such a grand adventure. I love your family! I get so happy to see each one in all of their glory! I LOVE teen smiling so big with his t shirt on. He is growing like a weed. I just know God has big things in store for him! Big, big things!

Your umbrella is fantastic.
