There's no fall "splendor" in my neck of the woods. So I was greatly anticipating enjoying the Fall colors reputed to be in abundance on Hwy 395.
I was especially looking forward to Fall (do you like the way I describe "Fall" as a location, not a season?!?) along the June Lake loop.
June Lake is supposed to be THE lake to go to for all those stereotypical fall-trees-reflecting-in-still-waters images. And hey, I'm all about stereotypical beauty!!
But we musta missed it by "this much" (said with my best Maxwell Smart impersonation/tone).
Oh. There are all those Fall leaves. In the water. sigh.

Bummer, Susan. I would have been totally disappointed. You made some beautiful lemonade out of those lemons!
such GORGEOUS photos....I love the collage of bare branches....so pretty!
Wonderful pictures. I love taking pictures of nature. Thank you thank you thank you for your compliments on my fix it friday photo and also for our edit today. It's wonderful.
Who would think I would LOVE your fall pictures sans leaves the best of all the fall pictures I saw this year?
Sorry you didn't get to see your Fall, Susan. =( It seems the ducks are enjoying it, though.
We don't have fall in TX either. Thanks for trying for us. That one of the lake and the mountains with all those leaves in the water is stunning, it made me say "wow" outloud. Beautiful shot.
fall isn't a destination...
how are we to know?
