“Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon." - Winnie the Pooh

IMG_6083T

My apologies for not narrowing down these balloon images. Eeny-meeny-miny-moe was taking tooo long and bothering my sensibilities, so I gave up. But I'll sweeten the pot by throwing more Pooh-isms between the pictures...

“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like 'What about lunch?'"

“You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”

IMG_6094

“If you live to be 100, I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you.”

“If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.”

IMG_6090

“When late morning rolls around and you're feeling a bit out of sorts, don't worry; you're probably just a little eleven o'clockish.”

IMG_6099T

“When having a smackerel of something with a friend, don't eat so much that you get stuck in the doorway trying to get out.”

When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.

Hey, who's that skinny, leggy shadow? Oh, that's Fisheye-Me! Hmmm, methinks we all need a little more fisheye in our lives!

These beautiful balloons were taking off early in the morning (I snuck out without waking the dudes) from the fairgrounds which were a ten minute walk from our hotel which was a two minute drive from Heidi's home. Her husband Russ was also there taking pictures from the opposite shore of the pond. You can see his gorgeous pictures here and here.

Whoops, I had to delete my comment. I accidently posted it while still logged onto my son's blog account.

Here's what I had said:

Wow!

So glad eenie-meenie-miney-moe didn't work out. Loved 'em all!

And thanks for the Pooh quotes. I think I'll use the 'fluff' one on my hubby when he's not completely paying attention.

I'm rolling on the floor over those pooh quotes. Exactly what I needed this morning. Especially thinking something that seems thingish until it is outside of you and other people are looking at it..... That happens to me a lot. :)

Your photos were worth the wait. :) GORGEOUS!!! (And, yes, that was Russ on the opposite shore. What a hoot.)

Really, who can't be uncheered by these balloons? You were in a photographer's heaven and I applaud you for waking and getting out in time to see it. I know those things launch EARLY! :) Such gorgeous imagery, Susan.
