Northwest Breakfast!!!

Mmmmmmm.... berries. Specifically, blackberries, raspberries, and huckleberries (which apparently are ONLY grown in the Great Northwest).

And here's mine (though not as Martha-Stewart-beautiful as Big Dude's above...)

Love your blog; I'm from Michigan, and we also have huckleberries. It was great to see your pictures of Montana and Idaho; my daughters and husband and I have gone there for the last several years, and didn't get to go this year because our oldest daughter got married and our summer is gone, now. Did you notice all the blueberry/huckleberry cuisine in Montana? Near Missoula we ordered blueberry lemonade and bluberry iced tea and bought bluberry jam and syrup. And the BEST STEAK I've ever sunk my teeth into was in Seeley Lake, MT at Lindy's Steak House - it made me feel deep sympathy for vegetarians... no kidding! I'm also a homeschool mom, so I'll take a trip back to your blog whenever I get cabin fever, to view your pics. Thanks for taking us on your adventure!

Oh, this looks so good. I could totally go for one right this second : ).

I always love coming for a visit here. It's a lovely little get away : ). Right now I am sitting at work and looking at the zillions of papers on my desk. Now I can look at this and feel joy! (and hunger : )

Mary - yes! Everywhere we looked, Huckleberry smoothie/milkshake, huckleberry this and huckleberry that. And gosh, those suckers are expensive at $7/lb. They're one of the few berries NOT grown in my in-laws' amazing garden/yard.

Rebecca - glad I could escort you away from the "real world" for a bit! ;-)
