Ok. I totally can't keep a secret. The "shadow" reflected on the window in the first shot that's surrounding/framing my son, *IS* the man in the second shot. See his face? And his hands on the checkers?
As a contributing photographer over at I heart faces, I'm not eligible to compete, but I enjoy the weekly challenges. Head on over to I Heart Faces to see all the creative crops this week.

Love the covert activity going on here. You always have a great eye for a good picture.
I loved both pictures! Did the man ever know you took his picture?
Great pictures, the shot of the man is awesome. Did any of your dudes play him in checkers? :)
Those are such cool shots! You are so creative! Great job!
I love the angle and composition of your photo! It looks like a man passing by just decided to stop and play checkers! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the comment on my photo!
These are really neat shots! Took me awhile on the first one, but it finally sunk in. :) The second one is my favorite. The man just looks a part of the environment...like he has been in that area all his life.
So creative! I was a little confused with the first one for a second, but then I figured it out. Great photos :)
Love the "crop" through the window panes. So clever!!! And love the angles!
Wow, so creative! Love the way you looked at it!!
These are great. I stared at your kid photo for a long time... trying to figure out how you did that? Are you in the shadow or someone else? Very cool.
really really really amazing. They are both stunning shots.
Your photography is always so amazing to me. I love coming here for inspiration... these are great!
All I can say is WOW!!! Love both pictures.

Both of these are creative and beautiful. You have quite the photographic eye!
Both of these are amazing photos! Very creative!
Completely creative and cool! But how did you do it? Are they two separage images, one superimposed on the other?
They were both amazing but i REALLY L O V E the old man... great shot!
Loving both, but I think the creativity of using the old man's shadow to "crop" around your son is pure genius. I heart YOUR WORK!
Love the perspective and what these images "say"!
BlogBaby
Love them both! The first is so original and unique and the second, well, you know me and Cracker Barrell : )
WOW! Oh I LOVE the old man! That photo is just moving. I LOVE photos that have that little mystery, or that little story behind it. Also why I used the adult in my entry this week, her face just TELLS of her hard life, and I think it shows all over her face!
Very very nice...I am in awe...
These pictures are stunning!
