I Love Our Canyon

The two rain storms were enough to jump start the grass growth...

But I can't resist this image in b&w, too. It feels so timeless. And moody.

My Dudes.

They're totally out of focus, because my camera can't autofocus into the sun, and neither can I. But I love this image, nonetheless.

You boys are in t-shirts and sunshine.

Here... they've preemptively closed schools in about 1/2 of the state cause our actual temps are colder than the South Pole.

Not makin' that up.

-30.

And your photos look like... like... manna.

Non-edible.

Gracious. ;)

It looks like you live in a wonderful, beautiful place! That b&w of the fence is fabulous. BTW...I love your header image. Love it!

your photos always make me long for a sunny walk. you capture it well.

sometime you can get a camera to focus if you find a contrasty spot on your subject, dark bad in the shirt etc.

Susan,

We've never had any family photos taken by a real photographer, just a few snapshots by Grandmom & Pops and friends. But last night I told dh that when he travels to soCal again, if it's possible for the whole family to go along, I'd like to go for two reasons:

--In & Out burger
-- and a session w/ you.

Your work is truly breathtaking! Thank you for the daily inspiration~

When we are in the sun, I am always trying to make a shade with my hand so that there is no sun spot. And look at you. With a huge sunspot in your picture. And it's just gorgeous. You have such vision...

I love all of your shots, but the one with your boys is awesome as well. You don't even notice that they are out of focus because the image is just so beautiful to look at on a whole. Amazing!

I wasn't going to check my Reader until later, but I just got an IM from Marshall telling me I had to check out your post today, and then he said, "That's it! We've GOT to get down there."

I concur.
