Homeschool ... Chronicles? Travails? Absurdities?

The problem with number lines that make you count backwards? Sometimes you write backwards, too.

Is this really conducive to efficiency and neatness? Methinks not.

But he's cute. And I don't take kindergarten very seriously. So I'm gonna let it slide.

Good for you! I taught second grade for many years, and it was all too late that I realized that many little boys and some little girls have their brains located in their seats, and if they sit on it they can't think! Things went so much better after that.

Yeah, and worry about reversals (he had one, good heavens, on that very silly page) when he's 8. Or 9.

i love that he's working under the table. sometimes i'd like to crawl under my desk at work--might be good for concentration.

i'm glad you don't stress on the reversals, i'm with Tracy, i'd worry about that in another year (or two!).

You're definitely MY kind of homeschooler! Though I admit I was a whip cracker with the first year and am now learning to RELAX.

Hey! Just popping over from The Arthur Clan...and I know I'll be back often! The photography and homeschooling and faith and mother-of-boys just pulled me right in. :) You have a lovely site! Happy Thursday!

Coming from another mom of boys, I understand that work is easier when done under the table. *wink*

I don't like that number chain. We work from left to right. And that one that swings around...I can imagine that would be confusing.

But...I love doing school work under the coffee table. Katie never sits at a desk...she is everywhere...
