The Plot Thickens. The End is Near.

CC Keller3

Can't quite read that rude piece of paper on that closed door? Here's the close-up:

CC Keller4

As you can see, my firstborn suffers from a severe case of low self-esteem ... NOT! "C.C." is his preferred pen name, in the grand tradition of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and, of course, J.K.Rowling. He says that he has a mere three chapters to complete.

Then begins our editing and search for a publisher. Exciting days, these are.

how fun! I was going to be an author in middle school..my mom helped me type up a few stories, but I eventually lost interest. Plus, I was totally plagiarizing half of my ideas, unintentionally of course.

so very cool. he has been working on this for such a long time... with his skills, I have no doubt it will be on book shelves one day... tell him I said that.. :)

Thanks, Lisa!

Tearese - :-). My son is definitely influenced by his favorite authors, but I think his plot and details are different enough to pass muster...

Leslie - I don't need to tell him. He'll be closely following all these comments ;-) and will see your sweet words for himself.

Back that puppy up! As in his files. Mac lost a number of her stories and a couple "novels" when her PC died. She was so upset. I was a bad mom, and did not back-up her files to disk. Do you know about the self publishing houses. I don't think they are too pricey and his novel will be bound and ready to sell.

Cheers!

Too funny! Our guys would get along great, that is just the sort of thing my son does :-)

Let us know when that book gets published... I'll pay top dollar for an autographed copy.

As always, your pics are fantastic. I continue to work on mine.

Also, it just looks so fun to live where you live!! I mean Scrabble at the beach, kayaking and that beautiful view from your home.

I know it is a sin to covet so I'm going now. LOL.

Go for it! I'm 41 and started work on my first novel this year. So start young. Does he do nanowrimo.org?

Oh, very cool. Katie wants to write a book...except that she must have several in process. Not sure that she has the focus to finish *one* of them. But she's always asking me about the business end. She wants an agent :-)

Bwah-hahahaha! Priceless, I'm tellin' ya! I would be the proudest mom in the world if my son wrote that. :)

How old is he because that was brilliant? Can we all get autographed books when he is done?

Susan,

I've been working with the Mosaics at flickr. On my blog site so let me know what you think.

I also bought a book on my camera to get action shots without the blur. Check out the baseball shots - in one the baseball is still!! How fun.

Of course, my shots are not nearly as pristine as yours, but I'm trying.

I have a writer over here too and he's 9 years old. We were visiting Books A Million yesterday and he said that he could just picture his books all over the shelves and people rushing in to buy it. What a visionary! Can't wait to read your writer's first book!

Oh...I can't wait to read it! So funny about the initials! My DH also writes and has been inspired by Lewis and Tolkien (among others!) and I told him he needs to go by CDB(insert last name here!):0)

So awesome he is following his dreams! Lovely!
