Lots of Fish. Scripps Aquarium.

During Papa and Nana’s visit, we put our tourist hats on …IMG_6096IMG_6097IMG_6126IMG_6118IMG_6131IMG_6135photography geekoid detail:  my iso for most of these super dark exhibits ranged between 3200 & 6400.IMG_6155IMG_6160IMG_6168IMG_6188IMG_6207IMG_6189IMG_6209IMG_6212IMG_6224IMG_6249Oh dear.  That mirth you see written all over The Teen’s face?  It may possibly, sorta, definitely be due to some mocking of sketchy “scientific fact”…  (Kellers are not known for accepting at face value the determinations of “experts”.IMG_6250IMG_6256IMG_6257IMG_6283IMG_6286IMG_6296Scripps Aquarium is beautiful and has fantastic exhibits.  But.  I must say, their tidepool cannot touch the splendor of the real ones in Laguna Beach.  Which we also visited.  I'll blog those pics soon (I hope).  IMG_6308IMG_6310IMG_6314

Those jellyfish are the coolest--I don't think I've ever see any in person. Love the reflecting pool too!

What do you use for science at home? Do you use a curriculum or do you make it up as you go along (a la Susan Wise Bauer)?
Awesome pictures, as usual!!

I am so glad that you had a good visit with your parents. I don't know why this post made me cry. I am glad God gave them to you.
