Friday: I'm thinkin' ...

... that this picture might give weight to the assertion that I harbor some vain impulses, especially if you couple it with my main thought as I was taking it: that the shallow depth of focus hid my bad hair day and the camera hid everything else (not limited to wrinkles, bags under eyes, lack of make-up, and sun damage).

What others are thinkin' ...

Your thought totally made me laugh. ;) I think we all know just what you mean and have done it ourselves. Maybe vanity is common among all photographers? ;)

that's pretty funny. i totally identify. i need to get a bigger lens if that's the trick to non-revealing selfies! =)

love the shot... faceless or not.

hahaha....change the color of your hair and it's like looking in the mirror. I'm always hiding behind the camera. Why are we so hard on ourselves.

I love the shot, too!!

Been there, done that! I don't like being in photos - AT ALL! Maybe that's why I take them. I don't need to see my bags and dark circles under my eyes, and long, narrow face on film!
Happy weekend, new friend! :)

ok, totally chuckled at this. I would have taken the same picture, for the same reason. :) VANITY!

Love it! I need to remember your technique because getting in front of the camera is nowhere near as fun as being behind it.:)

HA! You're too cute, Susan! No problem the camera can't fix. :-)

This is exactly why I take photos in mirrors and purposely hold the camera right in front of my face! :-)

You have lovely hands, btw. :-)

I think you are so pretty.

LOL! I'm left-handed so I shoot through my left eye so my camera covers most of my face, including bags under, eyes and wrinkles - I think the same way, I get it!!
