In need of therapy? Or a bigger hard drive?

So ... I was watching "Hoarding: Buried Alive!" It's a fairly disturbing show. Clutter makes me crazy. "Hoarding" is clutter MAGNIFIED to the max. I can't watch an episode without feeling the extreme need to start cleaning. things. out. And then I start thinking about the total mess that my computer hard drive is. It's cluttered. It needs cleaning out, for sure. And my picture files. Oh my. Talk about over-crowded. And in need of thinning out. And then I think, "gosh, I've been taking a gazillion pictures of ranunculus. How many do I really need?!? I probably have some snap-happy addiction. I should stop..."

And then I got over myself. And took a few more pics (after all, I just got the purple ones this week!) And sent about a hundred images off to the printer. And made cards.

Guess what everyone's getting for presents this year?!? ;-)

Your title totally cracked me up. Yeah, a bigger hard drive would be good. And a little therapy might not hurt. Way to put those gigs to good use!!

i keep tellin' my self this....beautiful job! and where...did you have the cards printed?

Thanks, All!
More info: I didn't print at home (too expensive); I used a local printer. These are all 4x6 prints mounted with photo splits (double-sided-square-shaped-tape) on generic white/cream cards that I bought at Michael's craft store.

Aunt Tea - YOU should totally do this. Your friends would be soooo blessed with your gorgeous florals!

Love this! I'm terrified to touch my photo files. So.many.pictures. And editing??? Oh my.
But you are great inspiration! I need to do something similar with all of mine.

Beautiful shots Susan! I normally am not much into flower photography, but I must say I love these, and loved that you made them into cards. Gonna file that idea away in my brain.

Totally with you with clutter. And just this morning I was wondering how I could clear out a good percentage of my 'bookmarks' on my mac....I seem to want to bookmark everything I find and then can't find what I'm looking for later because there's too much to scroll through! Pfft.

Happy Easter weekend to you and your family :)

I feel like a photo hoarder, too, sometimes. I despise clutter in my house. My main problem is books... I have too much of them. Thank goodness I have a Kindle now. Minimizes on stuff we have to pack every time we move.

Love the collage of flowers, Susan. Beautiful images on those cards. I'm sure everyone who gets one will love it!

I loathe clutter as well, but it seems inevitable with a house full of children. (of course, if I did watch Hoarders regularly maybe my house would be clean, based on the need I felt to purge after seeing one episode!!)

Our hard drive crashed a couple years ago and since then I've been much more meticulous about how our files are organized. LOVE Lightroom for that reason. I'm still not so good at deleting the bad ones though....

Love the color in your florals. Reminds me of prints my Grandma used to have. :)

Watching that show give me hives. Serious. Love all these bright beautiful images! It is still dreary here, we had 2" of snow this week!

Those are just gorgeous flowers, though...a worthy obsession.

I knew I liked you. I feel the same way about clutter, hoarders and my computer. The other day my husband asked me what I was doing and I said I was going through photos on my computer and deleting some. He asked, "Why?...there is so much room on the hard drive". Hmmmm...mentally I felt overwhelmed by them. So, I ended the project and went outside with my camera. Oh boy... I'll probably be on Hoarders, or maybe Dr. Phil! LOL!

LOL I am the same. More drive storage please I will clean the closets but I want my pictures.
Gorgeous florals! Good work!

You totally inspired me. I went this week and bought some at Tjoes. I love these flowers. I don't know how they missed my radar. I like making cards for friends, but usually have them printed on cards, instead of making prints and sticking them to cards. That would be cheaper I think.
