A Very Sweet Day ...

to celebrate a certain somebody turning eight. We began at our favorite breakfast diner ... Littlest Dude is smitten with his new watch and ... BACON!

After breakfast, we headed further on down the coast to the zoo ...

bday at the zoo

And finished the day by blowing out eight candles. I already miss my 7yo; but I'm pretty thrilled with my new 8yo. ;-)

Thanks for the link -- My mouse was poised click the comment box to ask how you did that, and you’re so thoughtful, you heard me wondering! I love the idea because so many photos are better in sequence ... you try to delete, but one just doesn’t tell the story as well as a few sometimes. Love your stuff!

Happy Birthday to your sweet boy. I can't believe he is 8... that watch is pretty great. The time just flies. I am glad you get to be the mama of an 8 year old again. What a thrill!

So fun! Happy birthday to your little man. I have an eight year old son, too. I think that sounds so crazy! :) (I mean that he's already eight)
It looks like a really wonderful day. The zoo is so much fun.

Hi. I found you via i heart faces. Love your stuff. Were you guys at Pipes for some delicious breakfast? I lived in Solana Beach and would frequent the Encinitas one. Now I'm in lame Northern California.

Yes! That's Pipe's (the one in San Clemente). Yummy!! I grew up in NorCal (San Jose). I can't think of a single Pipe's equivalent in the Bay Area. However, if you ever head down to Carmel, there's an awesome bfast place there called Emle's (I think that's how it's spelled) ...
