Two Frames, More Indecision ...

But, one thing is certain: if ranunculus had the scent of freesia or orange blossom, it would be hands-down, no-contest, my all-time favorite flower.

So. Color or b/w?!?

note: images edited in Lightroom, using One Willow's beautiful presets.

Oh my word. OH MY WORD! How can you decide?

At first I thought the color. It took my breath away. But then I fell in love with the black and white. And I am still in love with it.

SERIOUSLY gorgeous. WOW! I am tweeting your pretty flower.

i do love the color. on the black and white i would crop it square (or quite a bit closer). the white overpowers the detail in BW.

i might not think so tomorow tho. that is today's perspective. :D

You, know, I normally favor black and white, but I have to go for color on this one. It's a softer, sweeter, feel...like the flower.

Love the color. Stunning

On this one, the color...it's so subtle, and faint. It's really beautiful, delicate, it's like the middle of the flower is in a shadow of light.

I nearly always pick the BW - but this time, in this instance, the color.

Either way, they are both framable gorgeousness.

I think that although they both look gorgeous the softness of the colour is just beautiful.

They are both gorgeous, Susan! I'm in a black and white phase right now, so if I absolutely had to choose, that's the one I'd pick.

I remember driving up from San Diego to see a ranunculus farm a few years ago. The whole hillside was striped with bold colors. I don't think I've ever seen inside the tightly clustered petals before though. Love this view!

definitely the color. i'm usually a sucker for B&W, but with this picture the soft colors are just perfect. beautiful!

color...b&w loses detail

color! Ranuncs are my FAVORITE--hence the obsessive posting on Pinterest. (And I can't really smell so other flowers can't sway me to their side.)
Have a great weekend friend!

I'm a hughe B&W fan, but seriously, I have to say, seeing the hint of color peeking out makes the color version that much more special!
