and Before ...
How I got there ... I made a copy of the sooc image and darkened the sky significantly and ran TRA's highlight separator (to give the clouds definition). In PS I layered the two photos together keeping the sky from the copy and the sand/tower from the original image. A little cross-processing & straightening in LR, TRA Pool Party at a low opacity, and select o pop on the tower.

good job, love that lens too
Lovely editing, but I have to ask... Is that a recent morning? 'Cause I might as well be on a different planet. This morning (on my planet) was 44 degrees, rainy, and windy. So not fair.
Heidi- yup. as recent as Tuesday. We're still pretty much summer here. Last night was our first "cool" night.
But hey, at least that rain and nippy climate will soon bring you green... ;-)
Oh, Susan! Here you go again with the fish-eye, tempting me as always. LOL That lifeguard tower is so cool. I've never seen one quite made like that. You make it look incredible. Love what you did to the sky! I also adore the one with the flag. That will look awesome in print. My hubby would definitely appreciate that being a patriotic soldier. =)
I love your lessons. I love your pictures. And most of all, i LOVE when you force your children to play at the park!
