The Lazy Days of Summer are ... [sob] gone.

I interrupt these travelogues to post our first day of school pictures:

first day of school-2

Middle Dude's teacher asked each student to bring a picture from summer...

first day of school-1

Eldest Dude has a whole lotta reading & writing to do this year!

first day of school-3

And here's our teacher/student portrait for Keller Academy. Hmmmm, sometimes self-portraits don't work out so well...

I love your scary arm in the self portraits :-)

And oh my. Your eldest has quite the load. We will be doing something similar when we hit highschool. I hope Katie and I are ready for it!

I don't think my arm would be long enough to manage a self-teacher/student-portrait. And there is no way I'd get one with 4 decent faces, anyway. :)

Holy mackerel, eldest dude is tackeling some huge stuff this year. I'm highly impressed. And a little scared. I'm hoping it is a very, very long time until we hit that point in our homeschooling journey.
