Thy word I have treasured in my heart...

b&w daisies

How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping it according to Thy word.
With all my heart I have sought Thee;
Do not let me wander from Thy commandments.
Thy word I have treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against Thee.
Blessed art Thou, O LORD;
Teach me Thy statutes.
With my lips I have told of
All the ordinances of Thy mouth.
I have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
I will meditate on Thy precepts,
And regard Thy ways.
I shall delight in Thy statutes;
I shall not forget Thy word.

Psalm 119:9-16

i love this verse! We memorized it when i was 9 at Eagle Lake Camp and i'll never forget the little sing-song chant our counselor made up for us to remember it. It has stuck with me for 19 years and I can't wait for my daughter to learn it, too.

Great verse. I was going to post Kaishon's memory verse for the week before Sunday school yesterday but I couldn't remember the passage for the life of me. LOVE those daisies!

This really is a great verse and a great reminder of how important God's Word is in the life of the believer. I can't help but think of my kids every time I read it and pray that they'll recognize the value in knowing His truths...and delight in it.
