The rest of the family rocked on upstairs...
I introduce to you, our Guitar Heroes...
and the peanut gallery...
Well, at least until Littlest Dude discovered the mike...
The cousins nicely shared the sticks and skins...
Rock on Wayne ... Rock on Garth!
And so, the football dudes watched in peace while the rest of us rocked the joint as we all gave praise for all our blessings, knowing that, truly, we're all just Livin' on a Prayer ... badumdum!
(somebody, PLEASE!, get this song out of my head. especially that whole "ah-ooga-ooga-ooga-ooga" part. of course, it doesn't help that Eldest Dude hums this particular song/arrangement ALL DAY...)

Looks like good times. We love us some Rock Band too.
I am totally coming to your house for Thanksgiving next year. Now here is a perfect example of low light and GREAT pictures. I'm just sayin'.
that looks like a great family thanksgiving tradition. rockin' out with the family :)
I LOVE playing this with my son. And I like the leg action of lead guitar dude.
That's awesome! That's us at our house with Rock Band. And uh... I'm so good at it, I'm Wanted... Dead or Alive. ;)
Great photos! Much more fun than football. I love that grandma was playing, Impressive!
I really love this post Susan!
Love the fun photos, the way you have captured these memories, I love the decor in your amazing upstairs room - it looks great (like a homewares store) and so comfy!
And doesn't the middle dude in particular look similar to his cousin?!
Hope you guys have a great rest of the holidays :)
I love everyone on their instruments!! Shhhh...we got a wii for the girls for Christmas...and they are getting guitar hero. I have just recently heard about rock band...so we'll have to look into that.
And...you must tell me more about this room. Because it's just gorgeous. Is that a guest room? Your room? A family room with a bed? Your colors...everything...I'd like a clone please...
Well, since I "must tell"... ;-)
This is NOT my room, nor my home. And it is, indeed, gorgeous and comfy (it's the master bedroom!). It's my parents' place, and a dang nice place to have a Thanksgiving dinner. :-)
Love your blog and would love to know the name of your paint color!!! We have just bought a home in Tennessee and its all "builders beige" yuck.o
Thanks,
Michelle
Oh Michelle, I wish I could help you, but I have no clue what the paint color is. It's my parent's place and was already painted when they bought it. It's a really neat dark brown, tho. But the room doesn't appear dark because the southern facing windows are big and bright and white trim runs around the bottom 1/2 of the walls.
