Gratuitous Littlest Dude photos...

...and a couple pretty landscapes from the setting I was scoping, and a quickie photo tip. I was taking these photos at high noon - a no-no time for the best lighting for portraits. I was careful to turn Littlest Dude's face AWAY from the sun for these, thus avoiding harsh shadows on his sweet face (yeah, that sweet face that didn't want to be photographed. that sweet face that just wanted to leave and have candy. that face.).

Wow! That grass looks like rolling waves of water.

I had fun at Amy Rose's website yesterday! Thanks for posting the link.

Those are both awesome photography sights. That grass does look like rolling waves. Very funky looking. Love the strong greens there, but that hillside is gorgeous with the flowers blooming.

I'm going to have to scout out some new locations around here. They all look about the same this time of year, though. Drizzly and gray. ;-P

Wow, what beautiful scenery where you live between the beaches, mountains, and flowers or maybe you just have an eye and appreciation for natural beauty! :)

In the #4 picture... that grass stuff looks so cool. I bet that picture would look so cool in a bunch of different kinds of effects as well because it looks so fairy-tale-ish to me. (like that word?)

I'm drawn to pictures that I would want to walk into myself, and that's definitely one of them!

yeah that high noon thing was the issue we had when we went up the canyon for those skirt pics. Ugh. Yours turned out great! Love the bright colors.

Ok, enough with the great kid pics. You're ruining it for the rest of us. ;)

Thanks, All!

That grass IS really cool. We tried our best to grow some of it in our backyard, but, sigh, we failed. We have a couple tiny patches of it, but nothing much to speak of.

fxmixer - There's no way I'm ruining it for YOU. I've seen your beautiful photos of your darling children!!

That grass is so other worldly. And poor little dude. Do you have to carry bribes with you?

Whoa... what kind of grass is that? I have never seen anything like that. It looks like a gopher went nuts and then a marsh came and bogged it down.

Do you sink when you walk on it?

Crazy.

beautiful though.
