I am coveting your book cases. Why don't builders use built ins anymore? Love them. And the party looks so fun. Are those balloons still up there?

Leslie - :-). 'Twas my pleasure...

Kat - Builders out here in Cali do use built-ins ... at a super high premium cost. So The Big Dude built these, as well as our TV/Entertainment cabinet. And now that I'm officially OUT of book shelf space, I'm hoping that a Big Dude future project will include converting those useless "niches" (they're way up high, showing next to the balloons) into book shelves ... with a tall ladder. :-)

And, no. The balloons only stayed up for a couple hours before descending to distress the Dog Dude.

One may also notice that builders out here like to paint the hinges on doors. Ask me how I feel about THAT...

Looked like a nice party! Love those invitations. And, boys and balloons...it's just inevitable.

Oh, that looks like a ton of fun. I'm with the boys - I wouldn't be able to resist, either.

Beautiful, Susan! Are there any skills you DONT have?... lovely party, beautifully captured memories, and a great project planner! Ü I love the bookshelf and tall ladder idea! I've always dreamed of having books from floor to ceiling, and a ladder on rails. Don't think it's gonna happen for me, so I'm rooting for you!
