Backing up a little bit. We brought along this magnifying glass. Being survivor show afficiandos (here’s hoping for new episodes of Naked & Afraid soon…), one of our goals of the day: making fire.
No fire first attempt. Clouds kept blocking our sun.
Second attempt, further down the trail …
Bright hot sun …
And, we have smoke!!!
But alas, no fire. And the sun dropped behind the hill. Moving on to last attempt …
