The dudes got in a little zombie target practice before we headed to Nana & Papa’s home.Good eats…Cousins got busy racing the Shrek-mobile they created.Meanwhile, the other cousins hovered in close proximity to the Carmel Cake…Beach before sunset. My nephew couldn’t get there fast enough. My cute niece. She likes to dance on the shore. My dudes don’t ever do that. So, please, forgive the abundance of dance pictures in this post. I couldn’t resist … My nephew, on the other hand, does NOT dance on the shore. He just wants the water. My sister-in-law describes him as a cross between a dolphin and a labrador. No one was too sad to leave. They knew the hot tub, root beer floats, and fireworks were awaiting their return. Bye beach, bird, and setting sun. Hello, hot tub. Some decided to enter the hot tub via the very-not-heated pool… Little Dude morphs from Rodin’s Thinker to someone from Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure… Thankful for this country. Thankful for freedom.

Ahh...yes to family and dancing and freedom! So glad you had fun!
You capture little boys so perfectly, Susan. The day looked wonderful and what perfect seats to watch the fireworks! Not a better seat in the house and not a better photographer to capture all the moments.
Did your little dude get a hair cut?
And I laughed at your comment about your plethora of dancing photos of your niece on the beach. Welcome to my world of beach photos!
These pictures are beautiful as usual. The dancer stole my heart!
Perfect fireworks viewing spot. That would be John's idea of heaven (-:

I love your little dancing niece. She is so precious. What a pretty little smile. Girls make me so abundantly happy. I need one.
