Photo Safari Sunday …

Big Dude was sick.  The Teen was supposed to be writing essays.  Littlest Dude was all wrapped up in Xbox.

So Middle Dude and I abandoned them all and headed for the canyon.  He had the Rebel.  I had my 5d.

Sometimes we switched cameras.  He called this his “Canon gun”.IMG_5371

He’s a chip off the ol’ block, self-portrait guru …

So awesome to share this with your son. I have been waiting for the right moment to purchase a camera for my sons. I really can hardly wait!

That looks like SO much fun! : ) Laughed hard about the self portrait copying. He has seen his Mama do it so often.
I have a question for you about your rebel. Well, really the question is about my rebel, but maybe with your extensive rebel knowledge you can help me : )
So, it has been super slow lately. Kaish came to help me shoot something and it was taking about 10 seconds per shot. That is crazy, right? And, we had to keep our fingers pressed HARD to even get a shot. It was weird. I love that camera too. Very sad about it's slow demise... : )

I loved this post, Susan. Reminds me of walks that my daughter and I take. I haven't allowed her to use my Rebel yet, though. Which is silly because it's just sitting in the camera bag on "Back-up" status. She's pretty talented on her Point & Shoot though.

That canyon of yours looks like a pleasant place to spend the afternoon. Lovely photos!

What a great one on one time together. I'm feeling a "photo safari" coming on with my kids. They are out of school Thurs. and Fri., so I'm thinking it's this weekend!. Great shots, both of you!

I love these pictures and a day just enjoying your son and sharing with him your passion - I'd say this was a perfect day. :)

Love it! We sure can see your personalities shine. Beautiful compositions -- together and each on its own.
