Methinks Scholastic must have had in mind to create a Magic-Tree-House-ish series for the next age group up. Seems they are succeeding. Middle Dude barely remembers to breathe when he’s inhaling these books. I’m skimming along loosely just to keep up with the outline of the story. Big Dude is still in book two (but, y’know, he actually tries to solve some of the riddles/clues).
Middle Dude has solved several of the clues provided inside the covers; I’ve only solved a couple.
Here's a clue for you. You're welcome. ;-)

Hmmm, I was noticing those at our book fair. I'm so glad to see they are Keller approved! I will have to try to get my kiddoes on board. But it will totally be their idea. ;-)
My 9 year old LOVES these books. He follows along with the game online too. I just love that there are books written that he looks forward to reading.
Adding them to the list... always appreciate (and love) your suggestions! Thank you :)
They look like fun! I'm adding them to our library holds for my son.
Thanks for posting about them!

Yikes. I should have made it a little bit clearer that these books are kinda "craptastic" in the same way that the Magic Tree House books are. They are true twaddle. But kids enjoy them. A lot. Big Dude and I SKIM. heavily SKIM.
Oh yes! I figured they'd be pure fluff, but it's always good to find some new "clean" twaddle series to keep the kids going!
Thanks for all you boy suggestions. My boys have loved them and I'm excited to introduce this new set.
