I was super excited when Angie let us all play with her gorgeous picture of her daughter, Weslea. A picture, by the way, that she was intentionally trying to make bad. Really! And despite all her best efforts to be bad, she ended up with beautiful portraits that all take edits surprisingly well. I favored going with a very light, ethereal mood with this image. Special Fix-it Friday
This week I Heart Faces has some of its guest judges back (including the rad-tastical Nate Kaiser of The Image is Found, whom I esteem greatly!!) to participate in Fix It Friday. It's always fun to see what a variety of different people will do in their photo processing. And, 'twas fun this week to "play" along with them and not have to keep notes of each step I was taking ;-).

Always gorgeous edits! I like seeing all the different ones together like that. Thanks for playing along today:-)
I adore the top, larger edit. It's wonderful. You are so very creative. How about a tutorial of what you did there. (pretty please?) ♥
Always so gorgeous! Wow. This photo was sensational wasn't it? I loved it like crazy!
I just commented on the I ♥ Faces site how Nate just works magic on images, but YOU work magic too! Beautiful!!!
WOW. Amazing edit for an incredibly beautiful capture!
oh my goodness - GORGEOUS...yes to the tutorial please!
Of course yours are awesome! :-) I love them!
I'd be happy to share the steps I took. The thing is, I didn't keep any notes. And I did a bunch of edits. So I don't remotely remember what I did with any of them specifically. :-(
But I know my general beginning workflow was no different than usual. I don't recall which b/w action I used on top of my regular edits, but after it was applied, I probably pulled curves up a bit to make my whites whiter.
Love what you did with that first one!!!
I tried so hard to turn this into a B&W and nothing looked good for me. So, I guess you'll need to send me another copy of a full size image. ;) {hint, hint}
Gorgeous, gorgeous edits! It sure was fun having the guest contributors, but I'm looking forward to having all you "oldies" back next week. I love everything you do!
I really love #3! Beautiful job!
That's just flat out, slap yo' momma beautiful! wow... ethereal and angelic are the words that come to mind. I like the way you have all of them together to compare, too...
Very nice. Love that very first edit!!
The wildflowers are in bloom here and they remind me of the photo in your header. I just love seeing your pictures.
That's gorgeous!!!
I love that top one! You just have a touch...
Absolutely beautiful! Looks like pencil or charcoal art.
wonderful edits!! wow!
have a great weekend
Overachiever! :) (I only did one fix.) These are all gorgeous. My fav is the middle bottom...so light, and I love the pastels. You never cease to amaze me!
I like what you have done to this image, very cool. She didn't get those tulips out of my yard, the deer ate them all, ARGGHHH! :)
Take care and have a great weekend.
B Dad
These are very beautiful! I love the first picture...just breathtaking! It's my first time doing this project and I'm having fun looking at everyone else's versions!
