Middle Dude enjoyed his hot chocolate (even wore some on his nose) and shared with Big Dude.
The light from our window is awesome!
The nice man in the green shirt at the table next to us took this next picture.
Eldest Dude reads the latest American Idol chatter in his online class's email group...
A very good way to start the day...

Wow! What a great morning! Breakfast looks delicious!
I wish we had a Pipe's by us! Love that family photo--how Middle Dude and Eldest Dude are each sitting next to their mirror image parent!
What fun...makes me want to eat french toast with powdered sugar...and take pictures of said eating! Has your family just acquiesced to the constant camera presence or do they welcome it? Great light in the restaurant and, as an added bonus, we get to see you!
That breakfast looks incredible!
A great way indeed.
you guys get to go to the coolest places. I love nostalgic diner pictures. Sigh.
okay okay we will go try Pikes.. you didn't have to pull out the big dogs...
I think Wednesday that would be the perfect way to begin our house hunting day!! :)
Now *that* is the way to start a field trip. :) I'm ready to go!
Those are great pictures! I've been reading your blog & have been checking out some of the places you mention. We just moved to SoCal and we have 3 boys. It's interesting to see what others do to pass time :)
Tracy- what a fun observation. I hadn't noticed the "mirror" effect. :-)
Julie - *sometimes* they acquiesce. sometimes not. But I have to be FAST. They are completely intolerant of do-overs. ;-) They definitely do NOT welcome the camera, UNLESS the picture is their idea: "hey Mom, take a picture of this Lego ship I just made..."
Leslie - go quick. before the new owners take over.
Kelly- welcome to SoCal. There are tons of things to do and see here. And mostly really good weather (tho, watch out for May Gray and June Gloom...)
What a fun way to start the day! Thought your comment about the boys only liking the camera if it's their idea. My kids are the same way! I guess most kids are:)
I absolutely love these "a typical day" kind of posts. This is what life is all about! :)
