And Edward brought a friend or two (or five) with him. Perhaps you recognize him?
Marshall from f/11.
And Marshall brought his beautiful wife. Perhaps you recognize her?
Julie from Journey to Family!
And they also brought along their sweet children:
They don't blog yet. But when they do, I'm sure they'll have some hilarious stories to tell.
Julie is a fellow dork-at-heart, so we immediately attempted our self-portrait to commemorate our afternoon together. Which is even dorkier when you consider that we did have Marshall and his fabulous camera right there with us, and could have had a traditional portrait with a much better chance of correct focus and exposure. :-}
Never fear, though. Marshall wasn't merely idly standing by; he was capturing the essence of our goofiness.
'Twas a very fun afternoon. I can't wait til we do it again.
I'm not a betting woman, but if I were, I'd bet that you could probably find greater detail of our afternoon together at Julie's blog. She uses many more words than I do. And she's WAY wittier than I am. But, if for some reason, she doesn't tell you about the nice but desperate wedding photographer who bought a CF card from Marshall, or how our 9 year-olds were too shy to become buddies til it was time to go home, or ... well, if she doesn't, maybe I will. And be sure NOT to miss Marshall's stunning b&w ocean landscapes.

Hey. Julie didn't tell any of those stories. I guess it's all up to you now to fill us in! I think I should have been invited to this pow-wow. Since I also found you guys through Darcy. And I homeschool. But...I am thinking it might have taken me a bit longer to get there than Julie...
Oh that is so fun! Love the purple collage background--very fitting!
Hey, wait a minute! I love dorky self-portraits. :-) (I'm the queen of this, no doubt)
Gorgeous photos...as ususal. Although I don't know who I am more excited about you seeing...Edward or Marshall : )
The pictures are fabulous. It seems like Julie kinda hogged the pictures, though. I mean, where are YOUR kids? Did she pay you for publicity shots to prove SHE'S not a serial killer?? ;)

Pictures of *my* boys at the beach are a dime a dozen and are sprinkled liberally throughout my blog. They're always quite relieved when I point my camera elsewhere ;-).
I laughed so hard when I got to your blog and saw the big picture of Pocket Edward first! I never dreamed you'd put that on your blog!
I love your collage!!!
And of course all those things you mentioned I considered writing about but thought my post was getting too long and I cut them out. Maybe I can do a "part II" tomorrow.
Yeah Susan!! Fun family times! We had such an awesome time and your presentation here is just perfect. Can't wait to do it again. Oh, I shoulda mentioned the wedding photog. Whoops!
Oh I love the shadowed picture of the family! Beautiful!
I love the goofy picture of the two of you. Looks much more fun than a proper posed shot. The one of you takign your picture is good to. Glad everyone had fun.
Two of my favorite female bloggers were together! It looks like a grand time. I love the one of M. & J. together with her purple ring and purple hair. : )
Gorgeous. Gorgeous everything, you both are gorgeous, the photos are gorgeous, Edward is always gorgeous, the sea... you get the idea.
I hopped over here from Julie's place. Gorgeous. :-)
that's awesome! Great pictures! Love Edward.
Fantastic photos of amazing people! You are immensely talented. I've never seen Edward looking better either. ;)
I need a pocket Edward...although I'd rather a full-sized...
Fun meetup and photos! I love her purple streak...
What an awesome time you all had. Those pictures are great.
I think Darc is a little jealous :)
Those are all so great! I want to be there!! You're in California right? We will be in San Jose for a gymnastics meet (Nationals) in June. :)
I like the "not so perfect" self portrait...and i like how Julie's purple hair matches her purple ring. important stuff you know

Strike that.
Darc is wwaaayyyy jealous.
I would love nothing more than a big ol' bloggy party on your beach and to hug ya both - and hang out with girlfriends in a place where it's warm, green and pretty.
I'm so happy for you all. :) Loved the pics.
