Here's a view of my 'hood from the vantage of a hill in the canyon...
The creek that runs thru the canyon. Mountain biking is HUGE in this wilderness park.
The canyon ends at the ocean. It doesn't "green up" like this every year. And the years that it does, it doesn't last long. But for now, I'm drinking it all in. Yummy.
photo notes: the last three images all taken with the Canon 15mm fish eye lens.

Totally beautifull... I would be spending all my time there too!
Beautiful! I WANT A FISHEYE!! I onlly have a 20mm. So cool.
Nice 'hood. That fish eye is just delicious.
I think that should be the location for our next play date!
Again, love the fisheye action! Those orange poppies have got to be some of my most favorite flowers in the world. How lucky to have so many growing nearby!
Some of our canyons here in So Cal can be really beautiful this time of year. Those poppies rival the poppy fields out in the Antelope Valley. So nice to see a place that hasn't been developed into a shopping mall.
How awesome. It's so beautiful there.
I could post a picture of our canyon, it's BROWN, lol. It also isn't much of a canyon.
Thanks for sharing.

Ok... I gotta get me a fish eye lense... WOW... A.MAZ.ING.
do ya get many ticks in that there canyon?
Spectacular, Susan!! I bet you're loving every minute of that green. How wonderful to have such a wild roaming place so close to home.
What an inspiring place to live! Your shot of the 'hood with the fisheye is just tremendous!
I'm sure you've answered this before, but do you use a program/templates to put together your collages? You do such a great job with those, and I noticed you use them in your photo books you've shared as well. Love it!
Elaine-
I use Fotofusion - found at Lumapix.com - to make all my collages. And here's the great part: you can download & use their software [free] to your heart's content. They just put their watermark on your work. It's a great program.
oh how i miss california golden poppies :(
I really, really *need* that fish-eye lens. Wowza!
I am jealous of your world - I grew up in the country and now I live in town. I miss feeling able to breathe like this...
