The River continued

Since we couldn't stop and sit awhile on the dock at Grammy's old place, we pulled off the road over at the old, free boat launch instead. After all, a few hours had passed without the boys throwing any rocks.

Same vista, different processing:

This is my all-time favorite stretch of water on my favorite river in which to waterski. Of course, right now, this stretch is unski-able; the water's too low. But that's ok. It's not like we dragged our boat along on our trip to the Grand Canyon.

Where Kona, the Dog Dude, is standing is usually ski-able River.

Skipping Rocks 2-000001

Goodbye, Sweet River. Til next time.

Thus ends 12 days of posts with nearly 200 photos of our 2 1/2 day roadtrip. I told Big Dude I was finally done with all the editing. His words were music to my ears: "So, where are we going next?" :-)

I love the skipping storyboard! I've really got to try one of those... And your pictures are amazing!

But you know, the best part really was what Big Dude said. I'm just learning how photography can actually open the door to life for all involved. Thank you for sharing!

What a beautiful spot for people to live. It is so sad to see the water level down like that, though.

Awesome photos as always.

My family took a cross-country drive one summer from NJ to FL across to CA through the south and back home through the northern US. I loved Yellowstone Park and the Redwood forests. I'd love to do that again, but more to eat at all the locations I've been seeing on all the food shows on TV.

I love these. I want to get better at taking pictures of landscapes. I can photograph my girls but my landscapes look so flat. I love the depth in your photos!

I love this post and the pictures. It's just so beautiful there, and the rock skipping is great. I want to see a pic of Big Dude rock skipping like Steve Carell in the movie "Dan in Real Life", lol. That would be a great follow up to this post :).
