We'd heard that the best pictures are taken from the middle of the road. So we tried it.
Here's a section of the old Route 66...
... not long before we pulled off into the town of Kingman, where we dined like true Southerners ... at a Cracker Barrel. A first for this Cali born and bred girl.

Beautiful pictures!
I love Cracker Barrel, after working night shift many of us would stop by there for breakfast on our way home when I lived in Oklahoma. Later that particular CB got swept away in a massive tornado!
I love how the colors in these photos lend so much depth and emotion!
Never stop shooting! Love that picture from the middle of the road.
Lovely photos!
So how'd you like Cracker Barrel? Did you order something fried or something truly Southern like buscuits and molasses? : )
simply stunning...as always. :)
How fun to have the ability to take extraordinary photos of simply ordinary things!
Keep 'em coming!
I am totally gaga about your middle of the road picture. OH MY!
Love, love, LOVE the middle of the road photo. How awesome was that?!
And how did you get Big Dude to stop for you take that one? Bill would have been so annoyed with me.
Angie-
Easy. It was HIS idea. ;-) A picture he had in his head of "vanishing point" from looking in the rearview mirrors.
I LOVE your roadside pictures!!!
