And so my wonderful husband did. This is a ridge trail above the canyon that, to the east, ends below our neighborhood and, to the west, ends at the ocean in Laguna Beach.
End of walk. Now we're off to the local Fish Tacqueria. And can you see the wind that made all hope of macro floral photography nil? Many thanks to Nana and Papa for giving us many opportunities for cheap dates :-).

Gorgeous! I was even inspired to bring home a gerbera daisy from the grocery store yesterday - and play with the macro setting on my camera. Not the same as the lense...but it'll have to do for now. Do you have a preference - scenery or people?
OK, I am insanely jealous of your beautiful weather and lovely landscapes! Mud brown is no longer sufficient for me...
Glad you had a wonderful date!
Kat- I thought of you today as I searched out a copy of Wicked at the library. So, did you like your gerber pictures??? I don't think I have a preference - I love both those kinds of photography :-)
Lisa - I hope you get your Spring SOON!
No fair! You can go for a walk and see THOSE views? I am so jealous. I need to move.
Gorgeous photos!
Ohhh...I am thrilled that you are going to read "Wicked." You'll have to let me know what you think. And I did take pics of my gerbera. I am not a photographer. Just a wannabe!
Gorgeous photos!!
We were just starting to get flowers here, then it snowed again. Blah!
Other than blogging, what do you do with ALL your gorgeous pictures?
You live in such a beautiful place!
that purple flower (is it a lupine) is fab!
Thanks, All. :-)
Phyllis - besides the obvious blogging, I also keep scrapbooks for each of the boys. I make & print an annual family photobook (mypublisher.com is reasonably priced and does a great job - I usually watch for the 40% coupon). And I also make notecards (for my use and for gifts).
I'm hoping, maybe when school is done, to get an online gallery up and running so people can purchase my prints if they so desire.
