Those of you who know me know that “crafting” is not my middle name. But this particular one was pretty easy, not too messy, and fool-proof enough even for those of us (pointing finger at self) who are crafting-inept.
I got all my supplies from
Candy’s Etsy shop. Below are all my ingredients for this craft recipe:
The particular trays that I bought will hold a 1.25” square photo. So I picked out a few favorite family photos, printed them on a 4x6 photo, cut them out (no precision necessary – crooked edges don’t show up in the end product), and dropped them in the tray to see which I liked best.
Then I just poured a couple drops of the glue in the tray, swished it around with a brush I pulled out of Little Dude’s watercolor paint box, and dropped in my chosen photo.
I let it dry for an hour or so, repeated the glue step on top of the photo and dropped in the glass tile. Easy-peasy, I tell ya. And kinda cute, if I do say so myself.

ReplyDeleteI tried to download gimp as suggested to get the smaller photos for the necklace and it wrecked my computer. It gave me horrible malware/spyware that took me 2 days to get rid of with the help of a friend who is an IT professional. Needless to say I am still not sure how to get the photos to fit the necklace, but it looks like a great project just not so easy for an amateur photographer.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone have trouble with the diamond glaze bleeding the ink of their photo? All mine bled and I'm not sure what to do differently next time.
