I've had the best intentions of creating a list of books recently read, and my intentions remain ... but between now and when I actually get around to doing something about said intentions, click for
Eldest Dude's most recent book lists. He also wrote a
review on The Book Thief, a book I also loved (oh, and feel free to skip thru the Halo thoughts in the beginning of his post to get to the good stuff. grin.)

Glad to see he liked the Rangers Apprentice series. I keep cringing every time I see Levi pick one up. I never know if that stuff is decent, and I don't feel like pre-reading it to find out. ;-P Russ isn't much help in that department. He buys the books and hands them to Levi... I just shake my head and hope he'll turn out okay in the end. Oh, and I try to keep his book stack full of books *I* like. :)
ReplyDeleteYour son cracks me up.
Heidi,
ReplyDeleteI'd say the Ranger's Apprentice series is appropiate for Levi. There's a little bit of "damning" in it, but most of the action is pretty mild.
I'm also a big fan of "The Book Thief". One of my favorites. Just finished "The Art of Racing in the Rain" a MUST for anyone who owns a dog. I soooo loved it.

Thanks, Eldest Dude. :) I can handle a little bit of 'damning'...
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved Catching Fire. I have Mockingjay on pre-order from Amazon. Can't wait!!
