FxMixer did a fantastic panorama tutorial a couple weeks ago. He made it simple enough that even I could understand it. So following his simple instructions (did I mention that I really appreciate keeping it simple?!?!), I set my white balance for "Sun", fired off four overlapping pictures (without a tripod - gasp!), opened them all in Photoshop and "stitched" them together. Even without a tripod, or any amount of meticulous shooting on my part, Photoshop easily stitched these together. I soooooooo wish I'd known about this little trick last month when we were at the Grand Canyon. sigh.
So, anyway, this was just my simple, quick practice image. To see some gorgeous panoramic landscapes, head over to FxMixer's blog.
Wow! This turned out awesome! I cannot wait to try it myself!
ReplyDeleteYeah Susan!!!! And what a fantastic view you have! I'm glad the tutorial made sense and was easy to follow. Looking forward to more pano goodness.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful view for coffee drinking. : )
ReplyDeleteI will have to check out that tutorial!
Susan, I love it. I thought I had a good view from my room, lol, it's nothing like this.
ReplyDeleteI really like the color of this image. Thanks for sharing.

What a gorgeous view, Susan! Love the way you "stitched" the scene. :) Beautiful colors...so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteDon't you want to move to the burbs of Atlanta? I'd love to have you live right next door. You can come over and show me how to do cool things like this :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd why can't you go back and stich some Grand Canyon stuff now??
Gorgeous! The view from my room is...the back of another townhome! Woohoo! But I'm not complaining...it's a mighty fine place to lay my head.
ReplyDeleteI've read a tutorial about stitching panoramas before, but I've never tried it...maybe once there's something decent to shoot I will!
Wow! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNice view! Yes, that would've been awesome for the Grand Canyon.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I have to read about that right this second. Wow.
