After a wonderful lazy day lounging watching Olympics...

... the Dudes really needed to shake some lead out. So after dinner we walked up THE HILL to our local park.

Twilight at the Park1

We stayed. We played. We prepared to leave. And on the way out I noticed all our shadows falling on the grass and I joked with the Big Dude that THAT could be our annual family portrait. He said "nah, let's do that sometime at the beach." And we continued down the path. Til I said, "But wait, I REALLY want to take the picture on the grass." So he humored me. I quickly took the picture, exclaimed how much I liked it, and he said: "Good thing it's just a shadow. No one will see me scowling."

Family Portrait

Btw, the blob at our feet is the Dog Dude.

  2. Looks like everyone played the energy out of them at the park. I really liked the family portrait. That's not a bad idea to do for a family photo. I wouldn't have to worry if the kids' clothing matched or if they were all smiling. Hmmm...something to ponder on, lol.

  3. I love the picture in profile. Why don't I ever think to do these things? And the shadow pictures...I have got to do that with the girls sometime...

  6. I love the dark profile too. I tried your suggestion on my blog and it worked....but my sidebar interferes and I don't want to loose it. I could stretch out my text area, but then I'd have to nix the cool background, which I'm not sure I want to do yet.
