... on a beautiful day, if you want, you can take your literature discussion to the beach.

Oh! Look who decided to visit our classroom?

I guess he was enjoying our commentary about some of the overlapping elements and themes of The Ugly Duckling and The Trumpet of the Swan. ;-)
Recess...

We bid adieu (or should I say "Vale!" ?) to our friend...

Can I just say how much I love living here?!??
I am so jealous! I want to study CW's Homer on the beach! Gorgeous pictures.

I don't think I could concentrate on writing surrounded by such distractions! :)
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm really really jealous! Where do you live?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you get any schoolwork done! There is something to be said for living in a land-locked state. We have skiing though, so...
ReplyDelete:)Kristiana
Oh I love that! That is the perfect classroom!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until we have warm weather in WA. Even though the sun is shinning right now, it is too cold to do anything like that right now. :o(

ReplyDeleteprettier than today at least!!
Woohoo - party in my comments :-) Thanks, all, for visiting.
ReplyDeletePhyllis - we're about 2 miles (as the crow flies) from Laguna Beach, but about a 15 minute drive.
Daisy - "stuck" in the Valley??? Yosemite is practically in your backyard!! I could live with that!! ;-) But yes, get thee to the beach. Arroyo Grande? Pismo? Gorgeous.
This makes me hopeful that spring will come someday! I love the blues of the ocean....
ReplyDeleteWe lived in CA for a while -- Palm Desert. Definitely not close enough to the beach, though. Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteJulie-
ReplyDeleteYup, Palm Desert is quite a drive from the beach. But, it's oh-so-close to Joshua Tree. My boys would be thrilled to go there every weekend and climb all over the rocks!!
Short on words, but nice on life. I'm glad CW's Homer is on the beach with you. Nice!
